NJM Medical supplies advanced medical devices and surgical solutions for neurosurgery — including surgical navigation, intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) systems and hydrocephalus shunt valves — and supports surgical teams with consultation, product demonstrations and clinical support.
Our catalogue features technology from four German medical technology companies: Brainlab (navigation, robotics and intraoperative imaging), MIETHKE (gravitational and adjustable shunt valves), inomed (C2 Xplore neuromonitoring) and Dr. Langer Medical (AVALANCHE® neuromonitoring and TWISTER® stimulators).
NJM Medical is based in El Mohandessin, Giza, Egypt. Contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email to arrange a meeting or discuss support for your hospital’s location.
Call or WhatsApp us on +20 10 91007830, email info@njmmedical.com, or use the contact form on our website. We usually reply within one business day.
Yes. Use the “Request information” form on any product page, message us on WhatsApp, or contact our team directly. Tell us about your hospital and the procedure you are planning, and we will arrange a demonstration, pricing and training options.
Our specialists support surgical and OR teams with product demonstrations, user training and clinical support, so devices are used safely and effectively from the first case.
Intraoperative neuromonitoring uses electrophysiological signals — such as EMG, motor evoked potentials and somatosensory evoked potentials — to assess the function of nerves, the spinal cord and the brain during surgery, helping surgeons reduce the risk of neurological injury.
A gravitational (gravity-assisted) shunt valve changes its opening pressure with the patient’s body position. When the patient stands up, a gravitational unit increases resistance to protect against over-drainage of cerebrospinal fluid; when lying down, the differential pressure unit controls drainage. MIETHKE’s GAV, paediGAV and proGAV 2.0 use this principle.
According to the manufacturer, the proGAV 2.0 is MRI compatible up to 3 Tesla and its setting is protected by an “Active-Lock” mechanism, so no X-ray check of the setting is needed after an MRI. Always confirm conditions in the current instructions for use.
Optical navigation tracks instruments with an infrared camera and reflective markers and needs a clear line of sight. Electromagnetic navigation tracks sensors within a magnetic field, so it works without line of sight and suits flexible or small instruments. Brainlab’s Kick system is available with both options.
